I am a regular reader of The Malta Independent on Sunday.

First of all I would like to make it clear that I am not a Norman Lowell/vivamalta.org sympathiser – in fact I am ideologically opposed to the ideals of these two political movements.

I was lost for words and totally disgusted after reading Daphne Caruana Galizia’s latest masterpiece (sic). (TMIS, 28 May). She could have criticised Ms Baldacchino in a constructive manner without resorting to all those personal attacks, and without even mentioning her child.

Opinions should be confronted with other opinions. Besmirching politicians or other people who voice their opinion in public is not the way to go, and is more shameful for the culprit than for the victim of such attacks.
