Go mobile has launched two services for all World Cup enthusiasts – go...oal! World Cup 2006 and go live! World Cup ring tones. All go mobile customers availing themselves of any of these services will automatically stand a chance to win prizes.

When subscribed to go...oal! World Cup 2006, go mobile customers will begin receiving SMS notifications with live updates of all 64 World Cup matches. For a very affordable one-time charge, subscribers may opt for either the Premium or the Basic package.

“go...oal! World Cup 2006 caters for all World Cup enthusiasts who want to keep themselves updated on the games, even when they do not have access to a TV to watch them or are busy at work. With this service, subscribers will be notified of all goals, results and scorers as the action unfolds during the match, via SMS,” said go mobile business development manager Arthur Azzopardi.

The Basic package provides SMS notification of the start of the game, the half-time score, the full-time score and the extra time or penalty shoot-out final score if applicable (the cost is Lm2). The Premium package is identical to the Basic service but also provides extra SMS notifications of all goals and scorers the (cost is Lm3). Subscribing to either package automatically allows customers to participate in a draw to win a Lm50 voucher from VIP outlets in Sliema and Valletta. go mobile customers can subscribe to go...oal! World Cup 2006 by simply sending a blank SMS to either 5070-5103 for the Premium Notification package or to 5070-5102 should they want the Basic Notification package.

To keep up with the World Cup spirit, go mobile has also introduced to its customers the possibility of downloading the national anthem of their favourite team/s in this World Cup season – as polyphonic ring tones. Customers who download the anthem representing the team that wins the World Cup will automatically participate in a draw to win Lm120 talk-time.

The national anthems and their respective order codes are available from go live! – go mobile’s multimedia messaging services at www.go.com.mt/golive Downloads may take place via WAP or simply by sending an SMS to 4202 with the “order code” allocated for each national anthem.
