I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the Police Corps in general, and Supt. Patrick Spiteri and PC 775 Edwin Cassar in particular, for their prompt and brave action on Wednesday 17 May. On that day my salespeople in the shop in South Street, Valletta, saw an individual force a showcase and steal some watches. The police officers chased the robber up South Street and Zachary Street before apprehending him near St John’s Square.

This is the second time in a year that the Valletta police station officers have succeeded in catching a robber after a crime was committed in South Street. They should be commended for their dedication to duty. They are an asset to the police corps and an immense help to the business community in Valletta.
