Mnarja Festivities in aid of ‘Dar tal-Providenza’

The Valletta Waterfront will be the location for the first fund-raising event to be organised by the recently set up AX Foundation. On 28 June, the foundation will be organising a Mnarja celebration to raise funds for Dar tal-Providenza, featuring traditional Maltese folklore, food and wine.

Starting at 7.30pm, the event will include performances by the Peace Band from Naxxar, ghanneja, singers, folk dancers, and street entertainers, with an emphasis on entertainment for children. A raffle will also be organised to raise money, with three star prizes available.

Entrance to the event will be Lm4, including Lm3 worth of tokens for food and drink available on the night. Those who wish to avoid queuing on the night can also purchase tickets prior to the event.

These are available from the following outlets; Sterling Jewellers and ABC Stationers in Valletta, Victoria Hotel in Sliema, V.Demajo Bros in Paola, Sotto Voce Restaurant in Marsascala, Suncrest Hotel in Qawra, Cauchi Stationery in Mosta, Yorkdale Stationery in Naxxar, and La Vita de La Valletta and Sterling Jewellers at the Valletta Waterfront. Entrance for children under 12 will be free of charge.

The aims of the AX Foundation, which is a voluntary, non-profit organization, are to contribute towards the alleviation of social hardship, and to help people with special needs, as well as to preserve and enhance Malta’s historical, artistic, cultural and archaeological heritage, and to help Maltese talented persons to improve their standards and qualifications.
