The Valletta Rehabilitation Project, within the Resources & Infrastructure Ministry, is organising a public seminar on the conservation of the wall paintings project of Our Lady of Victory Church in Valletta.

This project is being done by the Wall Painting Department of the Courtauld Institute of Art (forming part of the University of London)and is financed by VRP with a generous contribution of PriceWaterhouseCoopers and with the collaboration of Din L-Art Helwa.

The seminar is being held on Saturday, 10 June between 9.30am and 12.30pm and presentations will be made by David Part of the Courtauld, Prof Mario Buhagiar, Dr Conrad Thake and three of the conservators on the project: Stephen Rickerby, Lisa Shekede and C. Martin de Fonjaudran.

At the end of the seminar the public will be able to view the painting close hand. A limited number of the public will be allowed this viewing only on pre-registration with Sandra Gauci Frendo at VRP on 21235794.
