The Nature Protection Unit from the Environment Protection Directorate at the Malta Environment and Planning Authority, with the intervention of Comet Services Ltd, is carrying out rodent control measures on St Paul’s Islands, as part of the St Paul’s Islands restoration project, which is being funded by the HSBC Cares for the Environment Fund.

For the smoother running of this exercise, the public is kindly requested to cooperate with this initiative by refraining from accessing the islands for the period between tomorrow and Wednesday the 21 June (both days inclusive) while this part of the project is under way.

The Nature Protection Unit, from the Environment Protection Directorate at MEPA wishes to thank HSBC, Arnold Sciberras, and Prof. P. J. Schembri from the Department of Biology at the University of Malta, and Comtec Services Ltd., for their invaluable contribution to this project aimed at safeguarding the biodiversity of St Paul’s Islands.
