Police held three youths after they were found in possession of drugs on Tuesday night.

Two of them, aged 16 and 20 were caught abusing drugs in Pembroke. The third youth, aged 22, was found in possession of cocaine while entering in an establishment in Paceville.

Later, around 10pm, a police constable foiled a motorbike theft by three youths while he was on patrol duty in Alamien Street in Pembroke. The three youths fled the scene but one of them was later caught.

He was taken to a police station for further investigations.

Meanwhile, early yesterday morning the police were informed that a Peugeot parked in Blata l-Bajda had a broken window.

According to preliminary investigations the car’s window had been broken as someone attempted to steal the stereo inside. The police carried out a search and held two persons for further investigations in connection with the theft.
