Chill Out Sundays at Amazonia

Malta Independent Saturday, 10 June 2006, 00:00 Last update: about 12 years ago

This summer Amazonia will be offering quite an alternative day out on Sundays. In fact, a whole new concept has been created for this venue by the same promoters of the Hola Beach in Marfa Bay.

Branded as ‘Chill Out Sundays’, Amazonia will be welcoming guests every Sunday from nine in the morning till late in the evening. With two pools – one of which is specifically for kids – showers, massage service and mouth-watering food in an al fresco restaurant – Amazonia offers a truly relaxed atmosphere.

There are also treats for those wanting something different. In fact, chill-out music will be played all day long, and guest DJs like Owen Jay, Brian James, Colin and Steevy Vee will be spinning the tunes next to the pool. Together with chill-out music, patrons can also enjoy shows by resident live percussionists.

Silvio Bartolo, promoter of Chill Out Sundays, said: “We always try and manage to offer an alternative entertainment and leisure venue which people of all ages can enjoy. If you want to swim, sunbathe, have a cocktail or some good food, or enjoy good music – Amazonia is the place to be on Sundays.”

Entrance tickets for Chill Out Sundays at Amazonia cost Lm3.50 and on presentation of the event’s flyers, which are available from Chilli stores in Bay Street, Topline, Plaza and Qawra. Tickets include sunbed and umbrella.
