European champion Alex Borg continued with his winning streak to reach the final of the European championships being held in Romania.

Alex Borg yesterday beat Norwegian Kurt Maflin 6-5 in dramatic style. Borg was always in command, leading 5-3. But Maflin made a great comeback getting on level terms.

In th final frame Maflin was always in the lead but local player Alex Borg made a great recovery to win the frame and clinch a place in the final.

In the other semi-final England’s Jeff Cundy beat German Lasse Munstermann 6-3 to play today’s final against Borg.
