The Youth Co-Workers of the Missionaries of Charity shall be organising a BBQ on 24 July at Rinella Bay from 8pm onwards. This initiative is being held to raise funds for their annual summer camp, which this year is scheduled from the 14th of July to August 16th.

Throughout the summer camp, some 100 underprivileged children from the Cottonera and Valletta areas will be entertained daily at the Liceo Vassalli, Handaq from 9am to 2.30pm with the activities varying from crafts-making to drama and games. Everything is supplied to the children for free, including the transport to/from their homes to the lyceum as well as the food distributed to them in the morning and at midday. All the organisers are young people in their late teens and early 20s. Notwithstanding the great expenses, they look forward to giving a smile where such smile is possibly a rare commodity.
