The Feast of St John the Baptist will be celebrated at St John’s co-Cathedral on Saturday and Sunday.

On Saturday, the celebration, led by Archbishop Joseph Mercieca, will begin at 5.30pm with Vespers, followed by Mass.

On Sunday, at 8am, Lauds (morning prayers) will be

celebrated. At 8.30am the Archbishop will lead a procession with the relic of the saint through the main streets of Valletta.

A Pontifical Celebration will start at 9.30am. Evening Vespers, followed by the reposition of the relic of the saint and a Eucharistic Celebra-tion, will begin at 5pm. Evening Mass will be held at 6pm.
