A man was yesterday accused of trafficking heroin and being possession of the drug as well as possession of cannabis.

Stefan Cutajar, 20, from Safi, pleaded not guilty to heroin possession and trafficking in January 2005. He was also accused of allegedly committing this crime within 100 metres from a school or a club where young people gather. Mr Cutajar was also accused of cannabis possession.

Police inspector Dennis Theuma prosecuted while Dr Roberto Montalto and Dr Edward Zammit Lewis appeared for the defendant.
