KRS Film Distributors have announced that the 11th National Cinema Day is to be held on Saturday, 15 July.

On this day, local cinema-goers will be offered a choice from no fewer than 17 films at a specially reduced admission price of Lm1.30 per person.

Film shows at all cinemas will start in the morning and run until late at night.

The following are some of the films KRS Film Distributors have lined up to be screened on National Cinema Day.

The Lake House, a romantic drama starring Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock;

R.V. (Runaway Vacation), a family comedy starring Robin Williams and Jeff Daniels;

The Benchwarmers, a comedy starring David Spade and Rob Schneider;

Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, an adventure starring Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom;

Freedomland, a crime drama starring Samuel L. Jackson and Julianne Moore;

Over the Hedge, an animated comedy with the voices of Bruce Willis and William Shatner;

United 93, a hijacked plane drama starring D.A. Basche and L.C. Zayas;

The Fast And The Furious: Tokyo Drift, an action adventure starring Lucas Black and Bow Wow;

The Wild, an animated adventure with the voices of K. Sutherland and E. Izzard;

Poseidon, a disaster drama starring Kurt Russell and Richard Dreyfuss;

The Da Vinci Code, a thriller starring Tom Hanks and Jean Reno;

X-Men – The Last Stand, an action film starring Patrick Stewart and Hugh Jackman;

Mission Impossible 3, an action film starring Tom Cruise and Laurence Fishbourne;

Ice Age 2 – The Meltdown, a comedy with the voices of Ray Romano and Queen Latifah.

Due to celebrations for the feast of St George, Cinema Day in Gozo will be held at the Citadel Cinema on Saturday, 22 July.
