A three-year-old boy was reported to be in a critical condition after he fell off a merry-go-round in a playground in San Gwann on Tuesday evening.

The police said the accident happened at around 7pm in Naxxar Road, San Gwann. The child was given first aid by a police constable who was in the area. He was taken to a private clinic but later transferred to St Luke’s Hospital.

The police were later informed that the boy was in a critical condition.

Duty magistrate Michael Mallia appointed various court experts to help in the inquiry.
