A very humane precaution is the provision of a sun-shade to protect the patient cab horse from the hot summer sun.
Allow me some space in your columns to appeal to the Malta International Airport car park authority, urging it to erect some similar simple sun covers for our horseless carriages.
It is agonising to pick up relatives and visiting friends, coming from a cooler climate, and pack them in an oven-hot vehicle in the noonday sun.
Or is this asking too much?
