In reference to Dietrich Meurer’s letter, Gozo International Celebration – Easter Edition 2006 and Elizabeth May-Hamilton’s letter, Qala has done it again – unearthing of exceptional talent at the Gozo International Celebration (GIC), both published on TMID Tuesday, 18 April and subsequent reply, please be informed that the date for the next GIC has been postponed from Sunday, 30 July to Wednesday, 2 August to avoid clashing with the St Lawrence feast in San Lawrenz in Gozo.

The Festa edition of the GIC will contain a fresh outdoor programme including a concert by Ite ad Joseph Band under the direction of Mro Frankie Debono and folk dancing and music performed by Menhir Folk Group, both of Qala.

The evening will commence at 8.45pm at the Qala Parish Square and will end with a fair consisting of a selection of handmade crafts, art, books about Gozo and traditional produce.

The organising committee of the Gozo International Celebration would like to thank the hundreds of families, couples, organisations and individuals for their kind comments and to our may volunteers that make this event possible.
