Malta Independent Saturday, 24 June 2006, 00:00 Last update: about 20 years ago

The police yesterday filed charges in the court registry against two driving test examiners and an owner of a driving school in connection with alleged receiving of money to ensure that people pass their driving test.

Police sources said the charges were filed in court registry yesterday. However, no one would officially confirm this. The case will now be assigned to a particular magistrate and when a date and time is provided, the accused will be informed to appear in court to answer to the charges being brought against them.

When asked to confirm whether the charges were filed, court registrar Paul Miruzzi said he was not entitled to provide information to the press.

It is understood that the case will be assigned to a particular magistrate on Monday.
