P. Camilleri (The World Cup, TMID 21 June) is right to say that it seems that when the World Cup is being played, everybody seems to become a football expert overnight.

I would add that some of them are bold enough to go on television and on the radio to air their views when sometimes it is evident that they are not so well-versed on the rules of the game.

All television stations and many radio stations have rightly come up with programmes for the duration of the World Cup. But the problem is that some of such programmes should have made a better choice of their panel of so-called experts.
