New Restaurant inaugurated

With an investment of over Lm3 million, Hotel Soreda has all that a tourist needs, said Tourism and Culture Minister Francis Zammit Dimech.

Dr Zammit Dimech was speaking at the inauguration of the Tico Tico Restaurant in the Soreda Hotel, Qawra.

"Inaugurating a new restaurant and hotel when the tourism sector is facing is a vote of confidence," said Dr Zammit Dimech.

Malta has over 1,000 restaurants and snack bars, he added. "As a result, these compete between themselves to offer the best service."

Tico Tico specialises in Maltese and Mediterranean cuisine. "Maltese food is part of our identity and should always be given our full support."

The average occupancy rate of the hotel is 88 per cent, he added. "These results are achieved as a result of an emphasis on quality and reasonable prices offered by tour operators," added Minister Zammit Dimech.

He pointed out that the tourism sector is a dynamic one and its success depends on those who work and run it.
