Man Seriously injured in family argument

A 44-year-old man from Rabat, Gozo is in a stable condition after having been involved in an argument with a 51-year-old man, his brother, on Monday evening, the police said.

Preliminary investigations showed that the two men were involved in a scuffle close to their home in Mgarr Road, Victoria at around 7.30 pm.

The police went immediately on site and found the 44-year-old man on the ground with serious head injuries.

He was immediately taken to the Gozo General Hospital where he was found to be in critical condition.

The man was later taken to St Luke’s Hospital by helicopter where his condition improved.

Duty Magistrate Paul Coppini has appointed several experts to assist him in the inquiry.

Police investigations are continuing and a man is assisting the police in the said investigations.
