Four cars were burnt in different locations on the night between Wednesday and yesterday, the police said in a statement.

At 11pm, the police were informed that a Lada was on fire in Joseph Abela Scolaro Street in Hamrun. Fifteen minutes later, a Peugeot car and a truck were reported to be on fire in St Joseph High Road in Santa Venera and the Mtarfa by-pass respectively.

At 2am, the police were informed that a Maruti car was on fire in Wenzu Dyer Street in Hamrun. Civil Protection Department officers were called to control the flames. No-one was injured. The police are investigating.
