I refer to the letter “An unfair misrepresentation of facts” (TMIS, 2 July).
I will not enter into the merits of who initiated what. Claire Bonello is well capable of refuting Jesmond Manicaro’s fabrications. I reiterate that ic-Caqnu deserves nothing but society’s stern condemnation for his actions, and can in no way be justified for hitting a woman. To help expose the kind of person ic-Caqnu is, I would like to bring the following points to your readers’ attention.
“The large number of stop notices served on him (Ic-Caqnu) are evidence (of his way of doing things)” – section 2.5 (b) page 11 of the Xemxija mudslide report.
“He (Ic-Caqnu) has in the past persistently flouted (development planning) regulations” –section 2.5 (c) page 12 of the Xemxija mudslide report.
“This developer is well known for this sort of attitude (breaches of development planning permit conditions) as transpires from testimony given by the Director of Planning” – section 5.7 page 26 of the Xemxija mudslide report.
“A total of 82 stop notices have been served on this person (Ic-Caqnu)” – section 6.5, page 30 of the Xemxija mudslide report.
These are some of the conclusions included in the Xemxija mudslide report prepared by architect Joseph Falzon.
Any further comment would be futile!
If Jesmond Manicaro wants to learn more about his employer’s numerous feats, he is free to ask the editor for my e-mail, and I’ll gladly send him a copy of the Falzon inquiry report.
