A 74-year-old man from Marsa was seriously injured when he was knocked down by a car in front of St Luke’s Hospital.
The police said the man was crossing the road in the direction of the roundabout in the square in front of the hospital at around 9am when he was knocked down by a Toyota vehicle driven by a 35-year-old from Marsascala.
The man was taken to hospital where he was certified to be suffering from serious but not life-threatening injuries.
