Re-direction Of mail service expanded

Malta Independent Tuesday, 11 July 2006, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

The Re-Direction of Mail service offered by Maltapost to its clients has been expanded to offer a wider choice of options.

The original service on offer meant that clients could choose to re-direct their mail, for specified periods or permanently, in instances when they moved house or transferred to summer residences, or for other reasons.

The expanded service now provides a choice for clients, who may opt to direct specific categories of mail as a matter of convenience.

Categories available for re-direction with immediate effect are: All mail (excluding parcel, courier and EMS items); registered mail; parcel and courier mail; letter packets.

In addition, addressees can also ask for any or all of their mail to be re-directed to any of the 32 Maltapost postal retail counters in Malta or Gozo.

These additional options, it is felt, will make it more convenient for clients to receive or pick up mail, particularly in instances when important items are awaited and delays may prove inconvenient.

Details regarding this and other services are obtainable from Customer Care (freephone 8007 2244) or from the Maltapost website www.
