Two groups of employees from Methode Electronics Malta Ltd have received a “Train the Trainer” certificate after completing training with the Night Institute for Further Technical Education (NIFTE) within the Employment and Training Corporation.
The “Train the Trainer” course aims to enable line managers, supervisors and other workers to give more effective on-the-job training to their new employees.
The programme, offered by the ETC on a part-time basis, helps participants to acquire the necessary skills which will eventually enable them to deliver training to their employees in an interesting and stimulating manner. This course gives participants skills in the planning, the delivery and the evaluation of a training programme.
Senior manager of the corporation’s training services division, Joe Cutajar, said that the corporation’s collaboration with Methode Electronics Malta Ltd was helping to meet the ever-growing need of the industry to reach higher targets by providing it with the necessary training for its human resources.
This year, an average of 70 persons took the “Train the Trainer” course. The corporation has, in the past 12 years, trained over 60,000 people and is currently offering over 90 different courses in Malta and Gozo.
