Singer Claudia Faniello’s career has taken off since her amazing performance in the Malta Song for Europe. Not only has the Maltese public recognised her talents, but scouts abroad have also taken notice of this young artist.

A press conference was held this week to announce that Claudia (as she wishes to be known) has been invited to go to Italy to take part in Meeting del Mare. In fact, she left yesterday to participate in this very popular musical event which is going to be transmitted on Rai Due.

The audience watching this event in Crotone, Piazza Pitagora, is estimated to reach 40,000. Massimo Proietto and Elisabetta Gregoraci will be presented while the group Zero Assoluto will also be taking part. Other guests include Gianluca Ansanelli, Sergio Vaglianese (Zelig), Samuele Comite, Danni Mendes (Miss Italia) and the Orchestra Italiana.

Claudia will be performing her song Bajja tad-Deheb, written by Aldo Spiteri and Trevor Fenech. This song had reached the finals of the Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza but has now been withdrawn so that Claudia can take part in this Meeting del Mare. On stage she will be accompanied by Aldo Spiteri.
