The thirteenth edition of the Elderly Award will be held on 6 October at St Vincent de Paule Residence for the Elderly in Luqa.

The event will form part of celebrations marking World Day of the Elderly on 1 October. This year, couples qualifying for this award will also be considered.

Parliamentary Secretary for the Elderly and Community Care Helen D’Amato encouraged voluntary organisations, parishes and local councils to present their nominations for the award.

A selection board has been appointed to receive applications and to choose the elderly person or couple deserving this award.

Nomination forms may be collected from the Board Secretary at the office of the Parliamentary Secretary for the Elderly and Community Care, 15, Merchants Street, Valletta, or the Department for Elderly and Community Care, St Francis Square, Victoria, Gozo and should reach the offices by hand, by not later than Thursday 7 September.
