The hypocrisy of the Labour Party knows no bounds with even MP Marie Louise Coleiro writing to MLP Secretary General Jason Micallef and asking him to tell the truth when speaking, according to the PN.

The PN said that with the Labour Party speaking out against the development zones in parliament, the Opposition representatives actually voted in favour of the schemes and more development.

It said that Jason Micallef was quoted as saying that the MLP representatives voted against the development schemes when the minutes of parliament state that this is untrue.

The PN said that Labour MP Charles Buhagiar wants to add more land to the development zones in Msida, Dingli, Siggiewi, Kalkara, Xghajra, Mellieha, Salina and Zebbug. Mr Buhagiar also wants further submissions made by his office to be included in the development zones especially some pockets in Msida, the PN added.

It called on Labour’s secretary general to come clean on the issue and not attempt to gloss over the situation regarding Charles Buhagiar which is a clear conflict of interest.
