Labour spokesman Noel Farrugia said that the reorganisation of veterinary services undertaken by the Nationalist Government is causing a number of difficulties for the local animal and poultry farming.
Mr Farrugia said that this was a very serious issue, given that public health also depends on this sector. Therefore, he said, in the national interest the Nationalist Government should declare whether it had consulted the Veterinary Council of Malta about these issues. If this was the case, it should publish the recommendations submitted by the council regarding the difficulties of the reorganisation, he concluded.
