Malta And Bulgaria sign cooperation agreement

A bilateral agreement to combat organised crime and money laundering was signed recently by Deputy Prime Minister Tonio Borg and Bulgarian Interior Minister Rumen Petkov.

Anti-organised crime units from both countries will work together to combat drug and human trafficking, financial fraud, money laundering and terrorist attacks.

Malta and Bulgaria will exchange expertise and information on tackling organised crime and terrorism along the borders of the European Union, to further enhance the two state’s cooperation.
