Nicholas Debattista, FIFA assistant referee, currently in Poland as one of the assistant referees in the UEFA Under 19 Championships, has been retained as one of four Assistant Referees for the semi-finals.

So far Nicholas Debattista has been assigned line duties in three matches, namely the opening match between Poland and Austria, that between Scotland and Spain, and the Group A deciding encounter between the host country Poland and Czech Republic.

The four semi-finalists are Austria, Czech Republic, Scotland and Spain. The semi-finals are being played tomorrow.

Meanwhile the Football Association of Wales has invited Maltese officials for the friendly ‘A’ international between Wales and Bulgaria on 15 August. Joe Attard has been appointed as referee, with Alan Camilleri and Joe Rapa as his assistants.
