HSBC’s trade services operations have won three awards at the Global Finance magazine’s World’s Best Trade Finance Banks awards 2006.

HSBC Bank plc won the regional award for the Best Trade Finance Bank in Asia, as well as two country awards for the Best Trade Finance Bank in the UK and the Best Trade Finance Bank in Hong Kong.

“Such international recognition once again confirms HSBC’s global strength in this business line, a financial service that HSBC Bank Malta plc operates on a full basis,” said HSBC Bank Malta chief executive officer Shaun Wallis.

HSBC’s trade services include support in understanding local and international regulations and methods of payment, advice on conducting trade, help in preparing import and export documentation and training sessions and seminars for staff and suppliers.
