A 41-year-old man was placed on probation yesterday and fined Lm50 after he pleaded guilty to slightly injuring a man at the White Rocks campsite.
Marco Micallef, of Birkirkara, pleaded guilty to slightly injuring Francis Muscat after assaulting him at the White Rocks holiday camp site on 30 July at 1.15pm. He also admitted insulting four members of the Brincat family and breaching the peace.
Micallef also pleaded guilty to swearing in public and using obscene language, threatening people and assaulting Francis Muscat. He also pleaded guilty to being in possession of an unlicensed weapon.
Magistrate Anthony Vella placed Micallef on probation for one year and fined him Lm50.
Police inspector Ramon Mercieca prosecuted.
Dr Chris Cardona appeared for the accused.
