There were 30 teams in the draws, 11 from the Second Division and 19 from the Third Division. The draws were made by two Maltco Lotteries officials, Mario Camilleri, member of the Company’s Board of Directors and Mario F. Cassar, General Director, in the presence of MFA President, Dr Joe Mifsud and General Secretary, Mr Joe Gauci.

All Preliminary Group matches will be played between Sunday 3 September and Thursday 21 September. Subsequent KO matches will be played in the latter part of the season.
