Eden Cinemas’ Cinemum – A growing success

Malta Independent Saturday, 5 August 2006, 00:00 Last update: about 12 years ago

For the third consecutive month, The Eden Cinemas organised a morning cinema show for mums and their babies.

Of course, dads were welcome and so were grandparents and other guardians. In fact, they all were more numerous than ever before with jam-packed theatres.

Also, many mums brought their older kids along, both because these are now on summer holidays and because the films were suitable for all kids.

This time, Eden Cinemas showed two films – Ice Age 2 was shown for mothers with older children that need to be stimulated by the film, and The Lake House was shown for mothers with young babies who slept throughout the film, leaving the mothers to enjoy a movie for grown-ups.

As usual, the event was a great success with mums being offered tea/coffee/cookies by the InterContinental Malta. During the interval, while their kids played in the Smoby Toys area, the adults had the opportunity of viewing baby-related goods by Thinking Living, which were on show and also of winning Pamper products made available by Pampers. Nappy changers and bottle warmers were again provided by Little People.

During the morning, Kate de Cesare, marketing manager for the Eden Leisure Group announced the launch of Bowl a Mama, bowling mornings for mums and their kids and of Pushing Power, fitness classes specially designed for mums with babies in their buggies. More information on these activities may be found on www.edensuperbowl.com and www. cynergi.com.mt respectively.

The next Cinemum event will be held on Friday 25 August where Garfield 2 and Cars will be shown. For more info see www.eden

cinemas.com.mt.

Bookings are open from 12 August.
