Helping Amy

Malta Independent Saturday, 5 August 2006, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

The City of London bar in St Julian’s is holding a fundraising auction and dinner on Friday 18 August at 7pm.

The objective is to raise funds for Amy Zahra who was stricken by meningitis and had amputations in her fingers and both her legs. She requires good prostheses fitted so that she can continue with her life.

We are asking both the public and companies to donate lots for the auction to enable Amy to achieve her aims.

These can be goods, services or anything you think people would wish to bid for. For example if you don’t have an item to offer, then you can offer your services which can be anything from cleaning, to computer advice, gardening, painting or whatever skill you may have.

The auction is open to all and the dinner at 9pm will be at Pepperoncino. They are very kindly offering a special menu and will be donating part of the takings to Amy’s fund.

All you have to do is turn up at 7pm to take part.
