Bank of Valletta, a founding sponsor of the Summer University of Performing Arts (SUPA), is supporting the second edition of this artistic and educational initiative.

The Summer University of Performing Arts (SUPA) 2006, being held throughout the month of August at the Old University MITP Theatre in St Christopher Street, Valletta, is being organised by the Theatre Studies Division of the University of Malta’s Mediterranean Institute.

This year’s edition will consist of a four-week programme of theatre performances, master classes and workshops, international work exchanges, as well as a concluding conference.

SUPA 2006 events include a Digital Live Art piece by an international team of researchers coordinated by Toni Sant, performances by CIRT (Milan) and Icarus Project (Malta), as well as Deformis by Teatru IXIDOR under the direction of Ruben Zahra. Full details can be found on www.tarf.info.

Though mainly for a Maltese audience, SUPA 2006 will have various international tutors, mainly, Nhandan Chirco, Mario Ruggeri, Rodolfo Rossi, Cristina Biagini, and Marco Marzocchi.
