The Employment and Training Corporation (ETC) has launched a traineeship scheme for those interested in finding employment in the insurance sector.

The traineeship programme runs for 26 weeks. In the first 16 weeks, trainees undergo training in theory and practice in insurance. For the remaining 10 weeks, the participants are given the opportunity to be placed with an insurance company to obtain more hands-on experience of the industry.

Throughout the work experience, trainees will receive the minimum wage. The

corporation will also sponsor the Applied Insurance Studies Diploma for the successful trainees.

The diploma is offered by the Malta International Training Centre.
