Luke Vella Critien yesterday told this newspaper that there was no truth about reports that he has signed for Msida St Joseph.

The player also said he has rejected Msida’s offers and did not sign with them.

Despite this statement, the player formed part of Msida’s squad in a friendly match against Mosta on Saturday. He came on as a substitute for Pio Sciriha in the 2-0 win.

The two goals were scored by Nigerian striker Daniel Nwoke.
