Malta Independent Tuesday, 8 August 2006, 00:00 Last update: about 19 years ago

Heritage Malta will be extending the opening hours at the Inquisitor’s Palace in Vittoriosa throughout the month of August.

As part of a pilot project, Heritage Malta had first extended the opening hours at the National Museum of Archaeology in Valletta till 7pm. Hundreds of visitors have since visited the museum in the late afternoon.

Given this encouraging response, Heritage Malta has now decided to extend the opening hours at the Inquisitor’s Palace till 7pm. The Palace is currently hosting an interesting exhibition on the Tarot cards. Entitled The Cards of Destiny; Gambling, Luck and Magic, the exhibition has already drawn large crowds to the Inquisitor’s Place in the heart of Vittoriosa.

The Inquisitor’s Palace will remain open till 10pm on Wednesday 9 and Thursday 10 August for the feast of St Lawrence and similarly on 26 and 27 August for the feast of St Dominic.

On these four days, admission to the Inquisitor’s Palace between 5pm and 10pm will be discounted by 50 per cent.
