Consular Representation agreement between Malta and Austria

Malta and Austria have signed an agreement whereby, in certain countries and cities where Malta does not have an embassy or a career Consular Office, applications for the issue of transit and short-stay visas for Malta will be handled by the Austrian Consular Office in that country or city.

This agreement came into force on 1 August.

The countries/cities where Austrian consulates will be offering this service are:

Albania (Tirana), Argentina (Buenos Aires), Bosnia-Herzegovina (Sarajevo), Brazil (Brazilia), Bulgaria (Sofia), Canada (Ottawa), Chile (Santiago), China (Hong Kong and Shanghai), Colombia (Bogota), Ethiopia (Addis Ababa), Guatemala (Guatemala City), Indonesia (Jakarta), Iran (Teheran), Japan (Tokyo), Kenya (Nairobi), Kuwait (Kuwait City), Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), Mexico (Mexico City), Nigeria (Abuja), Oman (Muscat), Peru (Lima), Romania (Bucharest), Senegal (Dakar), South Korea (Seoul), Thailand (Bangkok), Venezuela (Caracas), Switzerland (Berne) and Zimbabwe (Harare).
