The 11th edition of the Tribu festival, usually held on the eve of Sta Marija, will not take place this year.
Party organiser Brian Vella, also known as Junior B, explained that organisers of the Tribu festival did not have the time to organise the festival.
“They were very busy recently and it takes three months to organise a party like Tribu for over 4,000 people,” he said.
The first edition of Tribu was held in 1995 at Popeye village and last year at Gianpula with the performance of alternative band Planet Funk.
In 2003 and 2004, local authorities stopped the party due to noise pollution at 1am.
Last year, they were licensed till 4am with an after-hours party in Bugibba from 4am till 4pm.
However, a two-day event organised by Electronic Theory will take place instead, added Mr Vella.
Electronic Theory Special Edition – Summer Celebrations will be held on two days. The first was held last Friday and and the other one tomorrow.
The Electronic Theory Summer Edition are being held at Tattingers.
Block tickets for both events cost Lm9.95 The DJ line up for tomorrow's event is: Dave Clarke, Junior B, JD Frank, Adrian V, B Hell, Shon Gamil, Duplex
