From Mr and Mrs A. Borg
Although we had already booked for Sunday’s performance of the National Orchestra goes Pop, when friends said they had included us in their party for Saturday as well, we thought, well we are on holiday so lets go for it.
Wow! What an absolutely wonderful weekend of entertainment it turned out to be. It didn’t just go pop it went with a bang from beginning to end. The established singers Diva, Chiara and Ivan Grech were great but we would like to give a special mention to the two new talents, whom I am sure we shall be hearing more of in the near future. Young composer Alexander Vella Gregory with his beautiful composition (Comino), and stunning vocalist Tara Zammit. This young performer had style and gave a truly polished performance (what a pity they never made more use of the big screen on Sunday).
Once again, bravo Sigmund Mifsud and the national orchestra for a very enjoyable weekend.
