Opposition Leader Alfred Sant nominated Edwidge Xuereb to form part of the Employment Commission which was launched in 1974 under the Constitution of Malta.

Mrs Xuereb will be one of two commission members, appointed to the commission by the President of Malta, who were nominated by Dr Sant.

George Agius, who has served on the commission for the past years, will no longer serve on the commission. Dr Sant expressed his appreciation for Mr Agius’ contribution over the years and praised his hard work.
