The Union Haddiema Maghqudin has ordered clerical workers employed with local councils not to accept payments of contraventions after the collective agreement reached with the Association of Local Councils has not been signed.
In a statement, the UHM said that it has been chasing the association for the signing of the agreement for several months to no avail. The new collective agreement was reached after negotiations that took one year and a half to complete, but it is still to be signed.
The union therefore ordered clerical workers employed with local councils not to accept payments for contraventions as from today.
