A word of a heartfelt appreciation to the Qala Archpriest Canon Dr Joe Zammit who is leading a delegation to visit the Qala migrants in Australia, that amount to over 2,000 people.

The visit has been organised by Dr Raymond C. Xerri, a very well-respected diplomat here in Australia among the Maltese community. A homily at St Peter Chanel Church at Deer Park left most of us migrants present (about 600 people) in tears.

Despite being the first time that Canon Zammit is in Australia, he is very well-versed on our problems, needs and has touched a number of core issues that are close to our lives.

His teachings will last beyond his return to Qala and I thank him for coming to Australia. We hope it’s not the first and the last time.
