An enthusiastic crowd of mums and kids flowed into SuperBowl, in St Julian’s, for the first ever Bowl a Mama morning, on 30 August. Many are habitual customers of the Cinemum mornings, for whom the Cinema mornings for mums and kids have become a regular event, on the last Friday of every month.
It was a morning full of fun when mums registered, together with their kids, for two hours of bowling. Mums paid only Lm 2.50 whilst kids over 3 paid Lm 1.50. Included in the price was unlimited bowling, inclusive of shoe hire, free parking at the Eden car park, free tea, coffee or cappuccino and biscuits and a free fruit squash for the kids. Every child received a Playmobil Fun park ticket.
Young toddlers, too young to join the bowling fun, were accommodated in a play area with slides, seesaws and other fun toys. They were given Playmobil toys to play with and colouring pages. They were entertained by a face painter and supervised by child minders.
Changing mats and bottle warmers were also provided for mums with younger babies.
Bowl a mama is set to become yet another success story in Eden Leisure’s effort to find new forms of entertainment and leisure for mothers and their children. So overwhelming was the success that another Bowl a Mama mornings is being organised before schools reopening, on Wednesday 20 September. For reservations please call: the manager, 21387398.
This activity was sponsored by Little People, Playmobil and Stabilo.
