It is nice to have John Demanuele back on Radju Malta. However, I realise that he is replacing the popular Naqra Nitfa Tikka series, so diligently and intelligently presented by Gorg Peresso who made that afternoon slot an interesting one to follow for people who were keen to have a treat of education, culture, entertainment, sound and objective views, anecdotes, well-prepared and fascinating daily interviews with interesting personalities, (who have something to say and not simply flaunting empty platitudes), seasoned with humorous and intelligent bites.
There could have been a suitable place for both personalities, without John Demanuele having to oust Peresso, who is now allocated a rather dull one-hour slot in the evening once a week. I am sure that the gentleman Demanuele, who hosts other programmes on TV, would feel uncomfortable filling the time previously allotted to someone else who was doing his job on radio, and has been doing it for many years, with extreme dedication towards his listeners. I would, on this side of the world where I live and breathe.
