Young People ‘will vote MLP’

Malta Independent Wednesday, 20 September 2006, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

The majority of Maltese young people are waiting for the next general election to vote the Malta Labour Party into power, the MLP youth movement said yesterday.

As they did in the last round of local council elections and in the European Parliament election, young people will be voting for the MLP because they believe that the party is the only solution to the country’s problems.

In a statement issued in reply to one from the Nationalist Party’s Youth Movement regarding comments made by MLP secretary-general Jason Micallef, the MLP group said that Mr Micallef formed part of a dynamic organisation that had won all the recent elections, in contrast to what had happened to Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi.
