We, the Dominican Sisters, have been here, in Pakistan, for the past 44 years. Our apostolate is varied. We teach in our schools, take care of children and orphans, care for the sick and do pastoral and social work.

From the beginning, we took great interest in education and used all means possible to provide good education to all along with formation of character of these children and youth who are the future of their country.

In our hostels, we provide lodging to young girls who come from villages where they lack the opportunity to go further with their studies. We provide them lodging and schooling – in our schools or state schools – and then they have the opportunity of going to college.

Orphan children find a Christian environment in our homes and grow together in love, union and peace.

The sick and the deprived find support in their ailments, not only through the medical care that we provide them, but also through the consoling and compassionate words of the nursing sister.

The majority of the people we serve are very poor and lack everything. We educate them, we care for them when they are sick and see to their other needs. Our apostolate with these people is not possible if we do not receive help from generous persons like you who share with us through prayer and financial need.

I greatly appreciate the financial help that I receive from the Mission Fund and from the depth of my heart thank all the Mission Fund co-workers and benefactors for their generosity towards the Maltese missionaries. The Divine Lord will shower His blessings upon you and your families and will fill your hearts with His joy and peace.

I ask you, fellow Maltese, to send used stamps and telecards and money donations to the Mission Fund, so that they can continue helping the Maltese missionaries.
